Hello, my name is Emily. I enjoy animation, gardening, cats and games designed for children half my age. :)

This is silly.

Emily, your plants are not people. Stop pretending they have personalities. :|

Clockwise from top:

Mint - An overzealous upstart. This thing is growing like a beast

Oregano - Thinks he’s too good for my window garden, keeps trying to crawl out of his pot.

Basil - Sickly little thing. Finally no longer looks like it’s gonna shrivel up and die.

Thyme - Refuses to bloom, I think it’s shy. :>

THESE KIDS. :>

Kambo and Tamora, old characters created when teenage Emily though overalls were a fashion statement. I refuse to give these guys any sense of fashion as a homage to the ridiculous outfits I thought were cool back them. :>

Quickie this morning. Waiting for Chantal to wake up so we can go to the happiest place on earth Michael’s and Tim Horton’s. The only men I’ll ever love lolol.

My scanner chewed up this lineart and made it all crunchy. Don’t know why this one was so bad, everyone else in the batch was fine. IDK

ARMADILLO DON’T YOU KNOW THAT IS UNHEALTHY. JEEZ.

HI DODGER. It’s a funny thing that your name is “Hipsterdeer.”

This has been sitting on my harddrive for a long time. He was part of a whole woodlandband but I’m bored of that project now so you just get him. :>

ROLLIN’ WITH THE ACHINGLY CANUCK THEME.Here’s a doodle from work.

ROLLIN’ WITH THE ACHINGLY CANUCK THEME.

Here’s a doodle from work.

I like Tumblr. I never feel ashamed to put my doodles here. Also still rolling with the theme. Tim hos cups are red.

Okay, bored of the theme. POKEMON! 8D Here’s my White Version Team.

Emboar - Beartic - Zebstrika - Swanna - Meinshao - Sawsbuck

When in doubt, pokemon. This is Maxie, my Meganium from Heartgold.ANYWAY. I had a whacked out crazy nightmare last night that I got shot in. I don’t remember ever getting shot in a dream before. I think In the dream the shot punctured my lung and I couldn’t breathe properly but I was still running around. How does your subconscious decide how deadly things like collapsed lungs and being shot feel like? BRAIN YOU SCARY.Picture is unrelated.

Feeling nostalgic. Magic Knight Rayearth was the first Manga I ever read as a young’un, and consequently caused me to spend far too long apeing CLAMP’s style. Oh young impressionable me…. OTL

Still Good for the Lulz though.

So, saw a photo of one of these guys and wanted to draw one SO BAD.

So I did. 8D

There is a special place in my heart for animals that look like old people. SO CUTE.

Okay, Draft two on the White Team. Starting with Marpole the Beartic, one of the two in the back in the original picture.Design Notes: I’ve been doing some thinking, and… Okay, the  common trope with ice/winter type characters in a lot of lineups is to dress them in heavy winter clothes. But, for an ice-type who’s cold-based abilities may be internalized, a low internal body temperature would be beneficial for their abilities. So, wouldn’t dressing them up in winter coats, toques, mitts and scarves cause their internal temperature to rise, lessening their abilities? (This could be inversely attributed to fire-types, too.) With that reasoning, I didn’t load Marpole up as much. I kept the winter coat to get the triangular beartic shape, and the heavy fur. The boots are for repetition’s sake.Being based on, ultimately, a polar bear. I gave her a darker complexion, as polar bears have dark skin under all the white fur, and a heavier body type. The black tights are there for the sake of breaking up ALL THE FREAKING WHITE in this design.Thoughts?

Thoughts?

Sage the Sawsbuck is next. Winter form. This is my sissy baby. Not a complete pushover, but he is the weakest of the team. Couple that with a docile nature defining his character type, he’s not very tough.
Design Notes: Sage has no illusions of grandeur in regards to his power level, and honestly it’s a bit of a blow to his self esteem. He draws confidence from sharp dressing. So, dress shoes, spats and shoulder pads. :>
